Want to build a rifle

After reading many forums both here and ot other sites I have decided to build a 6mm BR. My plan is to have a Stiller Action w/drop port, 45X Leupold Scope, Jewell trigger, McMillian Ultra edge stock, and a Krieger barrel. My question is with this scope and a 20MOA base will I be able to shot at all ranges between 100 and 1000 yards?

I would think no. Limited on vertical adjustment would be my concern. Check the Luepold sight and see what they list for a max internal adjust and see what they give you.

Leupold lists 38 minutes of elevation adjustment with the 35x, 40x, 45x competition series. With a 20 MOA base that should get you where you need to be at 1K with 105s, assuming the reticle is reasonably centered in its adjustment range when leaving the factory. If you mount with Burris signature Zees, you can preload up to another 20 MOA.

Point Blank says you'll have 333" of total drop,33 MOA) at 1000 with a Scenar 105 moving at 2900 fps. Assuming you have 19 MOA of adjustment, above center) in the scope, the 20 moa base will give you 39 MOA total of "up". The Burris rings on a 20 moa base will let you keep the scope centered at 1000, but then you'd be high at 100. A 20 MOA base, with the scope cranked ALL the way down, would get you very close to a 100-yard zero--but it would be close.
