Up for sale is a Walther GX1 stock which came off a rifle built by Karl Kenyon. The original rifle had a custom stainless straight taper heavy barrel installed, with an electronic trigger. The battery and capacitor were installed underneath the accessory rail, with small groves for wires routed into the underside of the stock. (see photos). The electronic trigger eventually pooped out so I put a Kenyon trigger on it then bedded it into a bench rest stock and later traded it to a friend.
The Walther stock is a satiny smooth, ergonomically comfortable, serious target stock and will easily support a heavy barrel. The cheek piece and adjustable butt stock work perfectly. I previously had a 52D with both Kenyon and Micro Motion triggers installed. The trigger guard currently attached is from BAT machine company.
I am including what I have for rear action screws and nuts, with no promises that they will work for you. I think that a standard 52D rear action screw with nut will work, so if you already have you can disregard the following.
I am providing two screw and nut options for your use. (see pics) The first option, which is how I used it, the rear action screw went through the top of receiver tang, then threaded into a narrow (1/8 in thick) nut underneath the trigger guard. The trigger guard was then attached to the stock with a wood screw through the other mounting hole on the trigger guard.
As an improvement I began making a round nut which could be epoxied in place to secure the action screw from the top, and allow the rear of the trigger guard to be secured using a bolt attached from underneath. This inletting was not completed. To the best of my memory, the rear action screws provided are both 1/4 32 thread pitch, which if memory serves, is what came on the 52D. The screw for the second method will need to have the head turned down to clear the bolt.
Ask questions, I have lots more photos. If you PM I can send cell number to talk in person. I'll accept money orders, and most electronic payment methods and ship quickly.
Reduced to $375 shipped or best offer.
