Walker's Ear Pro

Is anyone here running either of the Walker's hearing pro products below? I have a tough time with ear muffs and being able to setup my cheek weld, so I just use foam plugs for now. I'd like to move to an electronic set of plugs so I can hear people I'm talking with at a match, while still protecting my hearing from shooting in the background.

I really thought this would garner some responses. Huh.....well, I think I might order up the "behind-the-neck headset" and see how it works out for me.

In my experience... cheap electronics are cheap. Yes they work, but the sound quality is poor and is straining to listen to for long periods of time. Etymotic makes an expensive set that you wont even know you have in.

Don't go cheap. I bought a pair of Walker's Razor noise cancelling muffs ( $39.99?) at Academy, and they truly suck. I will use my old $9.99 Peltors til I can afford a very good pair.

I'd recommend you try someone else's before you buy anything. Also, Indoor ranges usually have a few different kinds you can try out.

I have the first pair listed with Bluetooth. I love them they work great. When you stick the plugs in and don't turn them on it's very quiet. I like them so much I bought a second pair to use in my shop. I use the Bluetooth to listen to Pandora while I'm drowning out the machinery running in the background. They're that quiet that I have to be very careful about leaving machines running cuz I don't hear them running. When my shop pair quits I will buy another pair.

I have tried both sets you have pictured. The tops set - Razor (standard) did not work very well at all and it was too late to send them back for a refund by the time I tested them. The second set does work but I would assign them to limited use. What I mean by that is they are not for heavy range use where others are shooting close by. My sole purpose for my purchase was to get a lightweight set for prairie dog shooting where we place benches far enough apart where some amplification is good to communicate. Regular ear muffs get too hot and in the way out in the field. The rifle shots percussion will be blocked out pretty good since you are in an open space with all guns pointed away.
