Wait or buy now?

Built a tikka 223 trainer. Really wanted to put a Arken EPR on it but none in stock no backorder and when I contacted Arken they have no solid date for when they’ll get more. Not many in the used market either. My 2nd choice is a Athlon Midas Tac, there in stock ready to go. Both around the same price. I’m not in a huge rush just want to have one in my hand before Biden and the commies take over the whitehouse. Thoughts welcome.

Get the Midas tac... That one is a proven performer. Arken is hit and miss with quality control. (check around on the forums for non paid / non shill/ actual user reviews..)

I have checked Arken out for videos, user, reviews, asked questions and received positive replies especially from actual users. I'm waiting on 2 SH4 now. I'm not sweating the small stuff. I would have bought the EP4 but I do not care for the reticle. Remember, Athlon can be a hit or miss.

Expand on how Athlon can be hit or miss? I’ve rarely read a negative review and I’ve heard Athlon’s customer service is excellent. Maybe I missed something? I dug into Arken a bit more and found more than a few problems with there parallax not adjusting at all.

I didn't say Athlon had bad customer service. They are no different than other companies, they all have scope issues. On the part about parallax, I believe the few user that have had issues do not know how to properly set the scope up for parallax adjustment to begin with. I think you should buy the Athlon.

Have been shooting for 15 years, and have scopes that go from $300 to $2000. I know how to adjust for parallax and distance. Had an Arken, which was out of spec, 100% sure. Might have been a bad one, but when I heard this guy in the youtube link below talking about his scope not being parallax fee as well I knew I wasn't going to wait for a replacement but rather take a refund. At the 4.20 minute mark onwards.

Well Vince, you mimic me, except I haven't had a bad one. I know it's a possibility that it can happen. I'll be glad to deal with it if it does. I had already seen this video. I seen this in a Vortex PST Gen 1. Like I said, Jalen should buy the Athlon.
