W760 and 6.5 CM

Anyone have experience with this powder in 6.5 CM? I have started a work up and 43.0 grains shows promise. Any pros or cons people have noticed before I continue? Thanks!

Small primer. Ussually causes hangfire's. If you have large primer's 760 will work but it is very old technology powder= dirty. You would be better served with a newer powder. Stick powders really work great.

I use 42.5 gr W760 140gr Barnes MatchBurner, 2.86 COAL (have plenty of magazine room out to 2.95 so I use it). Use at your own risk, The Brass is Pederson SRP. Best group .244

I tested it in my 243AI. I got crazy pressure spikes when it should have been a safe load and after that it settled down as I got closer to the book listed max. Haven't used it since.

If you are using SRP brass try and go for Magnum primers to reduce hangfires.
