been looking at these scopes to try and help my mounting problems,50mm scope on high mounts is giving poor cheek weld and bad eye alignment) I have been looking at 6.5-20X40 leupold scopes which I can get on low mounts which would help me alot my concern is that I hunt a lot in the dark under lamp light and would prefer a big lense for max light transmission and I just think I might see a slight downgrade goind from my swarovski 50mm scope to a 40mm scope. My other option is the VX-L leupold scopes, I found this one http://www.leupold.com/products/products_highlights.asp that definately fits the bill and I can get it on low mounts. My question is are these scopes good or just a new gimmick and will my moderator foul the line of sight,it would be about 1/2" above the end of the barrel)
