Not for V133 but H4895, H335, and Varget have all work exceptionally well for me in 12" twist 223's using 55 grain bullets.

thanks guys but just starting up and was advised to get this V n133 for .223 by store keeper , so till I feel my way and only have the one rifle to load for it will have to be that

I've found N133 to be exceptionally accurate in my .223 rifles. I have a Remington VSSF II model that particularly likes the powder. Using 53 grain Sierra match bullets, which have a flat base, my most accurate load was 23.3 grains of N133. That is right in the middle of the Sierra recommended loads. I would suggest you start at the minimum and work you way to max and let the rifle tell you what works.

My experience with N133 in a 1/12 twist Remington 700 has been nothing short of superb. I have not used the bullets it question, however a near max charge behind a 50gr TNT or a 53gr V-Max gave me fantastic results.

thanks bud thought I had bought the wrong powder for a while there lol , when you say near max are you 100% full and under

Thanks Guys, SS427 , is that the correct OAL you used 2.915

Ignore my COAL notation. That measurement includes the tool I use to get the measurement which measures off a position on the ogive and not the tip.

If you hang out here long enough, you will be using similar tools to get the ogive a certain distance from or into the lands of your rifles.

According to the current Vhit load data, I am in fact over the max charge of N133 behind the 50gr TNT by 0.2gr’s. Even at 26.1gr, I’m not at 100% case fill, I will note that the throat of my rifle is on the long side. 26.1gr gives me 3564fps using Remington 7 1/2 primers with bullets sat at 1.931 (-5 thou via stoney point/Hornady 2/22 comparator)

I have shot a lot of N133 in a .223 back in my prairie dog shooting days. It was the most consistent powder for 52-55gr. bullets and my most accurate load was 25.1 grains. I have shot this load in Remington 700's, SAKO Vixen, and Ruger No. 1. It was my "go-to" load. Good shooting.....James

26.0 with a BR4 or 7 1/2 gives me best accuracy in a 26" barrel at 3600 fps with a 50g Nosler BT. I use N 135 with the 55g with amazing speed and accuracy, 450 primer. Many shooters reported using 25.5g of N135 with the 55g.

Seat the bullet to touch the lands.

You will be able to tell the difference between these two primers and it will prefer one over the other with 133 and 50g bullets.

I use IMI brass made by lapua years ago.

that is above the max on Uncle bucks link for Sierra loads Viht N133 20.8 21.6 22.4 23.2 24.0 max is 24.0 thanks

I use the Sierra Manual accuracy load for the 223 SMK 53 which calls for N133. I shoot this load in my AR match rifle with 1 in 8 twist barrel in 100 yard reduced course matches and it blows out the x ring on the prone slow fire target.

Guys a bit confused here have loaded up some rounds with SGK 55grn at the accuracy load and Sierra say COAL of 2.250" and thats what I have been setting them at , now I have some Hornady 40grn Vmax (BT ) and have been looking at a few manuals and reading a bit and average COAL is 2.200 - 2.225" , and a lot of guys are saying that 26Grns of VVn133 is a good load, however when I get to 25.5grns I am starting to come up the neck and to seat the bullet at 2.200 I would be crunshing powder there is no way I would get 26 grns in there lol I have loaded 5 at 25grns and COAL of 2.250" the brass I am using is Sako and trimmed to 2.750 can anyone explain this lol tks PS my case capacity av for 5 cases was 30.12
