No Sir, I'm not a fan of the parent case (.27 cal nail gun blank) of the 17WSM. The properties of the brass are such that the mechanical accommodations in the action make for a terrible feeling bolt lift/closure and the spring rate on the firing pin is so high that the trigger pull weights are beyond what most find acceptable. There are also other less-than-desirable qualities of the cartridge and I have a video being published tomorrow that goes into more detail.

I've rolled coyotes at 200 with a 22Mag, one of my favorites.

I really like the 5mm Mag, it's very well done but unfortunately there's not enough ammo support for it. I spoke to Remington a few years ago about bringing it back but they had no interest which is a bit of a shame.

Pretty amazing stuff there Mike. Thanks for taking the time to make the videos, they explain a lot of the Gen II features - and make it a little harder to wait patiently for the V22S BR/F-Class action I've spoken for! Have a Bartlein blank ordered for the V22S, and am looking at various stock designs to see if I can find something that will work for both BR & F-Class.
