Vudoo Rimfire Bolt Service

Bought a Vudoo about 6 weeks ago. 3 lug. Took to range with 5 boxes of Eley ammo. Bolt was REALLY HARD to close on most. Shot about 150 rounds. Got home and pulled bolt. Looked like bottom 2 lugs had been rough filed! I was sick. Thought I had ruined it. Called Vudoo and was told to shoot some Lapua and try it. Went to a match and borrowed some ammo. Shot well but bolt still too tight I thought. Vuduu issued a pickup and I sent back. Told them I wanted to shoot Eley ammo. They said they would fix the problem. Got rifle back in about 3weeks. Rough places smoothed down and cycles well with Eley ammo now. THANK YOU VUDOO!

a small dab of gun grease on the bolt lugs with a Q Tip would have prevented that galling, a thin film is all you need. Just make sure you clean it off both the bolt and receiver and reapply it every 50 - 100 rounds because grease will hold dirt and grime. I have gotten into the habit of running a wet patch down after every card cleaning the bolt and reapplying the grease as well

I am glad that VuDoo gave you good service and repaired the bolt as well as adjusted the headspace. I have a single shot in the pipeline and that makes me feel good about my purchase.

I've been doing business with Vudoo Gun Works since they started up. Own three Gen 1 repeaters, a Three-60 repeater, and two of the V22S single shots - only one of the Gen 1 repeaters has a barrel from VGW, I've barreled the rest of them myself. Paul & Jill have taken very good care of me over the years, hard to imagine a better, more satisfying relationship with a company. I took my original Gen 1 rifle out a few days ago and did some shooting with it at 100yds with some new lots of SK & Lapua ammo - rifle shoots at least as good as it did when it was new, and might do a bit better if I'd take the time to fine-tune the Harrells tuner settings with these new lots of ammo.

Vudoo is that kind of company. Anything man made can have issues but it's how the manufacturer handles the issues that matters. I have shot for Vudoo since they started as a company and this is why I continue to as they have a great product and care about their customers.

While I had the same great CS from Paul and Jill with my used Gen I with SN VGW1##7, I am wondering it Mike Bush and Paul are still in the house since VGW changed ownership.
There seems to be quite a difference in the early Gen1 vs. later models and I've yet to get any response to the email I sent early last week.
