Vortex Warranty For A Customer Mistake

I have a 3 Vortex Razor HD Gen2 scopes. My first two worked so well, I recently bought another. There are other 'latest hotness' scopes out there, but these are tried and true for me. On its second range trip, right after I box tested it, my gun fell off the bench on to the concrete floor. It's a 20# gun, there's a lot of momentum involved. It landed on the parallax and elevation knobs. The zero shifted a good bit and it didn't seem to hold it. It was a bit of a bummer, but accidents happen.

I told Vortex what happened, it was obviously my fault. They sent a call tag, fixed it in just a few days, and it's now shipping back to me - all at no cost to me. I fully expected to pay something for this mistake.

I really like excellent service and Vortex really came through.

With 60 years in the shooting game I have had experience with about all the name brand scope warranties. Only 3 I will give a 5 star rating. Sightron, Vortex, and Leupold. One I will not name makes excellent scopes but I hate being lied too multiple times.

I had one scope manufacturer (not Vortex) insist (over the phone) my problems were from a loose scope base. Ugh ... it's a Surgeon 591 action, that's not possible. How about you actually look at it before you declare that 'the scope is fine'.

Vortex CS is awesome. Accidently cracked a lens in my binos. Used canned compressed air. The binos we're in my car on a hot day. The cold compressed air cracked the front lens. Binos still worked fine. Contacted Vortex CS and they had it back to me within 2 weeks during the busy holiday weeks.
