vortex viper or nikon monarch whos got better glass?

monarchs have for a long time been my goto scope, i see vortex viper is in the same price range, is the viper glass better?

I think so, have three monarchs and.just got my voted viper PST ffp moa and love it. I would say night and.day better than the monarch. Controls, features are much nicer also.
My opinion, but many will agree.

I think it depends if you're talking about the viper or the viper pst. If it's the pst I've been very happy with mine. I think I'd take a Monarch over a standard viper from what I've seen though. I've read more than once that the hst is the same glass minus the illuminated reticle, but I haven't looked through one to compare. Might be worth a look.

To my eyes the Viper HS and the Monarch glass seem to be similar. I have both and can't really tell much difference. Overall I do prefer the Vortex.
