Vortex Strike Eagle 4-24x50

Has anyone used one of these? I'm really curious how the glass compares to the HS line and how the sensitive the eyebox is. Thanks

I am wondering too. I have seen them advertised, just can't remember where. I am not sure how the naming conventions go with scopes anymore. Like Leupold: VX 3 was better than VX2 was better than VX1. Each group usually had different coating and probably different glass. Same with Nightforce. Used to be NXS and Benchrest. then SHV, AtacR, BEAST, etc. Don't know if they use the same glass or what. I did talk with Vortex about their original Viper line, and they said all the vipers had athe same glass just differeent features. Now with the Strike Eagle, I have no idea where the glass quality falls.

They have been advertised but all I have seen say "not in stock" so that is why I don't believe they are on the streets yet.

The Strike Eagles were priced below the Vipers but until now they have been the lower powered scopes in the 1-6x and 1-8x. The new scopes will be breaking ground in the line with the higher powers so they will have to be judged on their own when they hit the market.
