Vortex Pro Scope Rings opinions?

I have been using Vortex pro scope rings on most my guns. I get them off amazon for like $80. Only issue I have had with them is there seems to be a plastic liner on the inside of the rings which has started peeling off on one set. Anyone here think it is worth it to upgrade to some more expensive rings like the Vortex precision machined rings?

The Vortex Pro are ok. I used them before on some youth 22lr rifles.

For anything I mount now, I use either the Vortex Precision Matched Rings (PMR) or Seekins - they are exactly the same.

I've also used the ARC M-Brace rings and I like them too.

Vortex PRO Rings, are well Machined ( supposedly, Seekin's made ) and Fit Weaver Bases or, Pic Rails, just fine.
Read the instructions to Mount them, as they go on, only,.. One way.
Torque carefully,.. to "Spec" and, you'll have, No,. "issues".

I've used the Slim / Trim, Burris ZEE Rings,.. "Lapped" and Loctited down, Successfully for,.. YEARS
All Steel and well machined ( Sadly,.. made, somewhere,.. "else" ).
Also just bought, for a somewhat, "Matching Look", a smooth, shapely, Holland Bubble Level.
My accurate, Rem 700 "Lefty" in 6 XC, deserves nothing but,.. the Best !

Like mentioned earlier, because it says Vortex, they are not made by Vortex. Not always a bad thing though.

I should add that there is nothing wrong with the Vortex Pros.
I haven't swapped them out for the EGW's.
It's just that I tried a set of the Keystones and now have 4 sets.

I tried to lap the Keystone rings and gave up on that as they were already at 90% +/- on contact area out of the box.

Can you say more about this plastic liner? That doesn’t sound appealing to me and I for some 30mm and 34mm refurbished rings at AAoptics. They are $30 each. Should I pull the trigger?

The Burris rings with the plastic inserts are GREAT. They have cant/tilt so you can maximize your available travel, and no metal touches the scope, so no ring marks.

My go to setups:
Burris Sig Zee for light kickers
Burris XTR Sig for heavy kickers
Talley one-piece base/rings for hunting rifles
