I've got one and really like it. there are better but for the money I love the reticle, the glass is pretty darn good, and mine is solid. just my .02

Once you start down the rabbit hole, it's hard to turn back. The Vortex GE is a gateway drug in the world of fine optics. Next thing you know you're looking at $3000 scopes and saying to yourself "yeah, but maybe I should pony up another $1000 and get something better?"

It has nothing to do with the quality of the GE. I have one and really like it, but I have already gone up a step to a SSVS ED on another rifle and am considering a Kahles to replace the GE with next... you've been warned.

The end of the competitive season is near. A lot of people will be getting rid of this years equipment either because they are giving it up, quitting all winter until the first match comes around, or buying new for next year.

They may of wised up and bought a couple of sightrons though

This season I closed the rabbit hole chasing. I have 3 F- class rifles built by Speedy G and barrels chambered by Keith Weil, don't get much better than that. It's not the rifles. I decided to perfect my wind reading, mirage and bench manners so to speak and it has helped.
