I was just looking to see if anyone here has any experience with the generation II Fury rangefinding 10x42 binoculars. Looks like in the$950 price range now. These might be a player at this price with the Vortex warranty, if they will do the job.

I have the Gen I's, and can comment on those if you like. Only looked at Gen II and compared.if they will do the job.
That’s a great review, much appreciated!I have a pair and really like them. I ran a loaner set at Steel Safari and they worked great, so I bought some. Laser is super fast, accurate and goes far. Glass is decent for the price-point. It's not going to compare to Leica/Swaro glass, but the laser beats them and the price crushes them. Nothing in that price range can compare (SIG is basically the same device w/o the Vortex warranty and bluetooth)
Yes, that would be great to hear your comparison of the two models of the Fury, Thanks!I have the Gen I's, and can comment on those if you like. Only looked at Gen II and compared.
Same glass, same body, way better laser. Don't buy the old LRF unless its $600 or less and you don't need past 800y or so.Yes, that would be great to hear your comparison of the two models of the Fury, Thanks!
From just handling them, about the only difference I noted was the button you use to range with is now much easier to find without looking. On the Gen I it does not stand up as tall, and I still have to look at time (especially when wearing gloves).Yes, that would be great to hear your comparison of the two models of the Fury, Thanks!
I don't have that effect with brightness. I have to keep mine turned way up. Different eyeballs I guess. I also have not had to change batteries. Mine seem to be lasting. I use mine mostly in PMS type matches.Even set to the lowest brightness setting, the range readout is UN-necessarily bright. In dim light it would be really bright. And I wind up changing batteries every 3-4 days, but like I said, I use them a tremendous amount during my hunt. For normal usage the battery life would be excellent.
