The time has come to upgrade my range finder. Technology has changed these days. I’ve read much about the Vortex and Sig options, but it seems most are comparing the Fury 5k to the Sig 3000. I got a set of Sig 6k RF binos I just ordered and like them, the glass is OK, the range speed is excellent, but I do like the idea of having the full AB suite on board as I regularly shoot past 800. So I’m eyeing the 8k RF and 10k binos also.
I wanted to see if anyone who had messed with these had also experience the Vortex Fury AB. Not sure if the AB model only added the AB suite, or if the glass and RF speed is upgraded too. If the Vortex Fury AB and the Sig 6k are a wash, I’d rather run the vortex for onboard solutions past 800 without having to jump up to the Sig 10k’s, which I hear are too blue. However, I do love the HUD on the 8k/10k. My Kestrel is pre-blue tooth and AB, so I’m not wanting to buy a Kestrel to pair for AB Elite.
I’m somewhat indifferent right now on RF only vs RF binos. No particular budget in mind, just want to find that sweet spot for money spent.
