Volquartesen -aftermarket trigger options?

Hello, I shoot centerfire & rimfires, with my rimfires seeing more use, quieter, less $ and close to home...I use a can on some, nearly silent.

I have a Volquartsen 22 mag that is a superb shooting rifle, 4 years old? Problem for me is the trigger shoe width- I have small hands & the wide, flat "straight" trigger, palm swell, and generous grip all work against me. I sent the unit to Volq., they reduced the width of the shoe, and I sanded out the palm swell & refinished, still not quite right...

Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes another complete trigger assembly that fits the Volquartsen, as a drop in, with a good quality "traditional" rounded curved trigger shoe? No knock against Volq, this thing is a tack driver and shoots any and all 22 wmr ammo in small groups.

KIDD makes a replacement trigger that will fit the Volquartsen. Problem is you will need to buy the whole trigger system, and it's not cheap, to get the smaller trigger shoe. Good thing is the KIDD is the best/lightest trigger made for that type of rifle. Their web site is coolguyguns.com

Good luck

I bought one of these. I see they went up some since I bought mine.

The Kidd trigger is a lot better. I would much rather have a factory trigger with a trigger job than a VQ especially for the $200 or more. I've had 3 Volquartsen rifles and many different VQ parts, other than their triggers, they're pretty good. I like Kidd better though.

Well, I just ordered a trigger assembly from Kidd. 1.5 lb. single stage for Volq.
22 WMR. Interestingly, they also have a 2 stage of 6 oz trigger pull weight, too.
I'll post some pix and info later... Thank holstil.

I've got their two stage trigger set as low as I can get it and I have used it on 3 Volquartsens and 2 10/22s. It's on my KIDD 10/22 now. I'll never sell the trigger but frequently sell the rifles it's been on. I took a ruger 10/22 receiver and added a Bell & Carlson stock, KIDD bolt, KIDD barrel and pin set and the gun shoots in the 1s with Wolf match extra. I have no love for 10/22s but I can't bring myself to sell this rifle. It just shoots to well to get rid of it, and I have about $1000 into it and no one would pay me that much for it anyway. KIDD rocks!!!
