This rifle is a Voldoc reject that I bought from him several years ago after he returned from a prarie dog shoot where he made a 1400 or1500 yard kill with it. Bat SB. The stock is a ST 1000. It is African Obeche Walnut, Shehane's finest wood. Then a deep $400 clear coat was applied. Maybe Voldoc will chime in on this post. Doc always sells his good stuff. It came with a Bartlein BRX and a Shilen BRX barrel. I was a Dasher man but I said I would try the BRX and if I did not like I could rechamber to Dasher. I never rechambered and fell in love with the BRX. JR (Joe) Carter said the Shilen barrel was toast but it had a brake on it so I tried it first. That barrel broke more 800 yard eggs than any barrel I own. That barrel was rechambered a few years later and fitted to my Titantium 700 Rem. On the Titantium that Shilen went to the 1200 yd line with 10 rounds. Cold bore I shot a 5.5" and Taylor Carter followed with a 7.5" group. Two consecutive cold bore 5 shot groups at 1200 yds.
The Bartlein barrel shot great also. I think I eventually had Precision Riflesmithing by Bryant Custom LLC install a new Bartlein BRX barrel on the BAT. The SB action has been discontinued by BAT.
