PAYING IT FORWARD EXPECTING NOTHING IN RETURN
Anyone use N135 with 108 bergers, if so what were your results. I know it is used for smaller bullets like 65gr, but with powder the way it is, I'm looking at all options
I used 28.7 grains with Sierra 107s to fire form. Accuracy allowed me to win the match.

Yes, fire forming to BRA. Running right about 1860 FPS at the target, 600 yardsWas this shooting a 6mm BR Norma? If so, do you recall your velocity?
Thanks
I think the explosion of chronographs has helped make speed more popular. I develope my load then out of curiosity get out the Lab Radar and see what it is. The only thing I have used the chrono for really is to tune ES. Time of flight does have a bearing on wind drift so given a fast node or a low node of equal accuracy, I will go for the speed. For me I am not looking for anything but to put each individual shot fired in the 10 ring. Not the same thing as shooting groups. At a group shot there should be a 1% deduction for each shot on a target out of the 10 ring. After all the purpose of a rifle is to hit something. Remember the first shot in a group is a no skill required shot.Rember speed kills. { Group size too ] Slow is the way to go. For me anway. Tommy Mc
Want a half inch group at 1500 yds? get a Ma Deuce and 1 round...I think the explosion of chronographs has helped make speed more popular. I got my first 30-BR in January and won our club 100 yd score match in February. I have 2 chronys but I still haven’t measured the velocities for my 30-BR loads. I don’t know why you would get flamed on here for stating that velocity isn’t very important, it’s called AccurateShooter, not FastShooter.Well, I will get flamed but velocity is a totally irrelevant number. Sparkers bullet was able to get to the target and best the other competitors and win. All that is necessary. Congratulations Sparker. The targets results count, not velocity. Advice given to me by 2 long time 1000 yd shooters (record holders by the way) when I started to try 1000 yd was, "You short range guys get fixated on velocity. Slow it down some you will learn it is more accurate at longer rannge".
To some it's all about the numbers. To me it's about having a rifle tuned better than most on the line at a match. That requires testing and work. It's about hitting the point of aim, not a documented odessy of how you arrived. Some are interested in the journey. I am interested in the competition, the journey is a necessary evil to have success at the end of the journey.I got my first 30-BR in January and won our club 100 yd score match in February. My targets constantly tell me to learn to read wind. I can put them all through one hole at 100 yds!I don't shoot competitively except against myself. The numbers are great and nothing wrong with chronos, but I like what my target tells me.
