Ok...did some 1000 yard shooting today (video will be up soon) and after reviewing the video I noticed I caught some really good bullet trace.

Hi Wayne.
That is a Sony HDR-CX550V. It is very compact....has 64 gig of flash memory. Has 14X optical zoom and 120X digital zoom.

great vids, I subscribed. I don't think I realized just how much angle those bullets take to get to that distance, its like a mortar or artillery shell.

Very cool, about 2 seconds for bullet to get there, and 4 seconds to hear the "tink"

Yah, it's fun to watch a trace going down range. Folks who don't shoot, or who do but don't score for competition & hence don't have much chance to look thru a spotting scope don't realize what a ballistic trajectory might look like.

6XC's a fairly flat-shooting cartridge too! Try some 'real' Palma shooting & the apex will be TWICE as high! Yet they can come down to hit the same X-ring... as long as the shooter's doing their part!!

(He he, then stand in the pits some time when a black powder shooter's lobbing 500 grain .50's down 1,000 yards. Trajectory at that point, those critters are not far off vertical! Takes a lot longer to get there too.)
