Vhitouri N 320?

New to reloading pistol cartridge not rifle, bought a Dillon 550. Anygood recipes for 124 gr jhp with this powder? Looked at a bunch of my books and there all over the place. Thinking 4-4.2 gr?

Thanks

Appreciate the feedback, will load a few different weights and see. Honestly was surprised to see how slow the feet per second is by the book. Read a lot of good things about the powder saw a good deal and purchased some.

It's a nice powder to use in a few pistol cartridges to give you a lighter felt recoil for the same power factor.

4.2 - 4.3 gr N-320 is what I load with 124 gr

3.5 - 3.6 with 147 gr

I'm very impressed with N-320 how it meters through a Dillon (xl650) powder measure. Being a stick powder I didn't think it would measure so consistent throw after throw. It also feels softer with the recoil. Clean burning too.

Nowadays I use mostly TiteGroup for 9mm Parabellum. Difference is Titegroup has sharper recoil and requires 0.1 gr LESS powder to achieve the same Power Factor. It also burn a bit dirty when loaded a bit light. MAX / Near MAX loads burn much cleaner with Titegroup.

Thanks for the info! I also picked up some cfe pistol so I’ll explore with both. Picked up a Dillon excited to start loading on it versus my single stage. Probably will still load 308 on the single but for 300 blackout and 223 no more.

This target was only at 30 feet freehand, and cheating with the red dot... Berry's 147 gr RN bullets and 3.4 gr TiteGroup. 3.5 gr of N-320 does the same.
I use the same loads for the PPQ Q5 and P-226. I don't clean my pistols often, that's why I use near MAX / MAX loads. This way a very dirty slide ejects perfectly even after 800+ rounds.

Anything I feed into a semi-auto I use the progressive Dillon. There are some quirks with progressives, but once you figure them out you'll never look back !
