very hot 6.5-284 question

"It sounds like you want to discard all signs of high pressure and you are determined to shoot high powder charges that other people throw out on internet."

No, not at all.

I could care less about speed, just tiny groups. If a cool load gives me that, then fine. If a safe, hot load gets me something better than a cool load, I'll go with the hot one.

I got my load rec' from two places:

1) A call to Sierra

2) http://www.accurateshooter.com/cartridge-guides/65x284/

I started with with Sierra's recipe, and worked up and past their recommended max till pressure was notable., i.e.., the stiff bolt lift. That came on very suddenly...

I did say a couple times here that I discarded the brass and will be working from scratch.. again. From the bottom up, of course!
