No, not at all.
I could care less about speed, just tiny groups. If a cool load gives me that, then fine. If a safe, hot load gets me something better than a cool load, I'll go with the hot one.
I got my load rec' from two places:
1) A call to Sierra
2) http://www.accurateshooter.com/cartridge-guides/65x284/
I started with with Sierra's recipe, and worked up and past their recommended max till pressure was notable., i.e.., the stiff bolt lift. That came on very suddenly...
I did say a couple times here that I discarded the brass and will be working from scratch.. again. From the bottom up, of course!
