Velocity increase after barrel break in?

Has anyone ever experienced this? Haven't chrono'd my pet load since since my new barrel had about 60 rounds through it. Instead of 3300 fps, I'm now getting almost 3400 fps at a 140 rounds down the tube . Temps and load components were identical from original testing. Thought maybe it was chrono issue, but verified it's accuracy with 2 other guns using loads of known velocity.

Anyone ever experienced this?

Yep, just not to that extent. About 3 weeks ago received a Bartlein .224 chambered to shoot 90vlds. Broke in barrel with 20 shots (1, clean, 1 clean, etc) then tested/chronoed a series that shot best at 2820fps. After about 100ish rounds, chronoed/tested in fireformed brass just to see difference. Speculated that with fireformed brass, speed might decrease slightly and might need to slightly increase powder charge. To my surprise, velocity in ff, 1x brass was 2850fps. Will further test things when I get enough 90s to do so. Drew
