Velocities in 6.5 x 47?

I am interested in what kind of velocity you guys are getting from the 6.5 X 47 in 26" > barrels with 120 to 135 or so projectiles.
Please list barrel length and bullet description with anything else you would care to say.

Thanks for your help.

With a 28" tube, 123's: 1.) 38.0gr of RL15 is 2960f.p.s. 2.) 37.7gr of RL 15 w/ 130VLD's is 2910-2915. You can substitute Varget and be "close" in velocities to RL 15.. You can probably expect about 25f.p.s. PER INCH less velocity. I hope this helps..

130gr VLDs, 26" BBLs. Both 1-8.5 twist, 4-groove with .123" freebore (originally), H4350, BR4.

Kreiger on Stiller TAC 30, 41.0gr = about 2,850 FPS, likes to be jammed .01"
Brux on Panda, 40.0gr = about 2,850 FPS, likes to be jumped about .02"

It's easy to get more speed, but they seem to like it from 2,830 to 2,870.

Right on the money compared to my rifle. They seem to drive tacks in the 2850 range.

+1 My 8.5 Brux #3 26" likes 39.7g R17 w/450s, single digit spreads, 2850, w/130 VLDs jammed .005.

Guys this has been one of the best responses to a question I have ever had.
I just want you all to know I really appreciate your taking the time to give me the facts (your knowledge) relative to my question. This will go a long way in making my decisions.

Thank you all very much.

If it is set up specifically for heavy bullets such as a 140 hybrid with plenty of FB, you will often see an upper node running more FPS.

Change, my 6.5X47 is strictly a hunting rifle. It's a Trued Rem700 action with a Kiff bolt and 24" Kreiger bbl. My MV=2889fps. Shoots extremely flat at long range. I jump them .010 because it's a hunting load and I don't want to pull a bullet on a hunt. With that being said, I can tighten up my groups a little by seating them in approx. .008

mine is 28.25 inch 8 twist 5R Bartlien throated to allow the 130 VLD to be seated at 2.812 and loaded with CCI450 and 42 grs H4350 is averaging 3,006 fps with SD less than 10,,

I use 300 yard zero and is 7.75 minutes to 600 and 21.5 to 1,000
