Varmint Stock for Remington Model 7????

Hi Guys,
I have a Remington model 7 that has been given the 6BR treatment (single shot) & I am looking to replace the lightweight sporter stock with a stock better suited for prone varmint shooting off the bipod. There doesn't seem to be many options when it comes to this action. The best solution seems to be a Remington XR100 stock which from what I've read should be compatible. Are there any other options to consider???? I even found a company called PDC which do an aluminium stock but at near $500US seems a little pricey. At that maybe a Mcmillan A5 or similar might be the go but the near 6 month delivery time might put me off. Suggestions??

The XR-100 will be your best bet, or wait a long time for a custom stock..
You also might want to look at a factory M-7 laminated stock that would fill the bill..

i had this same issue when i built my 22-250. i just used the factory laminate and hogged out hte barrel channel for the heavy varmit barrel. by doing this i had to rienforce the forearm with aluminum and beddin epoxy to make it rigid.

if i were you i would call joel russo and have him inlet a laminate thumbhole or a3 or a5 for you at the cost od 425$.
