Varmint Rounds Seating Depth?

I am trying some Nosler 55gr Varmageddon for my Savage 223 and am not sure how far to seat them. I have been shooting 68 gr Hornady BTHP and 69 SMK up until this point and have loaded them from .005 to .020 from the lands. When loading these 55gr at .020 from the lands there isn't much bullet in the case neck and they are very long which is no big deal. Should I seat them a little deeper or just go shoot them? Also, if anyone has any tricks to load flat base bullets please help me out because I've dumped 2 loads all over my table now and am hoping I get the others in there straight. Thanks in advance!

With small calibers and light bullets I always load with a bullet diameter in the case. It usually works out to be pretty close o the called book OAL measure your trimmed prepped bras, measure your bullet. Add those two together and subtract the bullet diameter. ( 1.740+ .700=2.440-.224=2.216) for an example

Chamfer your necks good. It'll help the bullet seat easier. How did you dump them??? I just loaded a bunch of 55gr hornady spsx last night for my ar

Both times I could see the bullets falling so I reached up to catch them and knocked the shell out of the holder. It was getting late and i was getting tired when loading them so I'll finish them tonight with hopefully better luck. I'll try to load some at different lengths and see how I come out.
