Varget vs R15 in my 6.5x47

Did some testing today with my normal load of 37.2 gr. of Varget shooting 123's which gives me a velocity of 2,950 fps.

It takes 38 grains of R 15 to get me to 2,946 fps.

Accuracy and point of impact was identical.

Just passin on some data.

600 yard match tomorrow.

Hey thanks for posting the data. I am looking for data for the 123 Scenars and SMK in 6.5x47. I realize this is an old post, but was wondering if you were jamming or jumping your loads? and what kind of groups and ES are you getting.

Loads are .005 off the lands. ES is 14
Group size all depends on how I am shooting that day. Will shoot tiny holes when I am on. I shot a 4'' group at 600 yards at a night shoot with no wind flags a while back.
