Varget Lots

I guess ill be the odd one to say i dont think varget is the right powder for a 200gr in a 308. In that case capacity it needs anywhere from a 75gr to a 140gr bullet. Will it work? Sure it will. So will trailboss and h1000 but you never hear of those getting used either.

Dusty, I know some that have been successful shooting a 6 Dasher with Varget and 105 gn bullets.

Had a lot of Varget some time back that the .308 didn't like. Switched the .308 to H4895 and loaded .223s with the Varget. It was a seamless transition of that lot of Varget in the .223s.

I don't worry too much about the whys of it all. The problem was quickly identified and easily solved. When a component causes a problem in reloading, I switch it out.
