We had a great turnout for match 5 and 6, 26 light guns 25 heavies and 19 tactical on Saturday, winds were nice and weather was near perfect for match 5, 1.5” aggs in light gun with 198 scores, Rob Unertl won the overall!
In heavy gun Curt Knitt shot another 1.5” agg with a 199, for a clean sweep.
Two gun winner Curt Knitt
Tac class was another sweep for Curt this guy is on fire!!
Tru Tac , this is a stand alone class I started, for newer shooters as well as a place for guys that want to stay a lil more traditional with the tac deal, make a place for new shooters with equipment they already have, keep it simple and make it fun, it works, we have had several start here and go on to build bench guns, it has worked!!
Paul Hilgedick shot a 3.5” agg and Travis miller took the overall.
We ate good each day and DJ the chef made us some great meals at night, the camaraderie around the campfire tops the match every time, the match just gets us together.
Day two the winds picked up and the aggs got a little bigger scores got smaller
Light gun, two home boys took home some awards, Dan Hullinger won score with a 195 and Shannon Guile took group with a 2.008” agg, DJ Thomas won the overall.
Curt Knitt wiped the sleep outta his eyes after light gun and came to life in Heavy gun and Tac class with a clean sweep of both and won the Two gun!
Tru Tac, Jason Walker with a score of 178 for the win, Tyler may 3.1” agg for the group agg and the overall.
We ate tacos, handed out the awards, crowned the valley shooters of the year in both 600 as well as 1000 and the combined 600/1000 had everyone on the road by 2:30 Success.
Looking forward to to 2026, schedule is already done and handed in to the board.
