I have many bricks of this ammo and figured this would be the place to ask the question. What is a fair selling price for this .22 ammo?

Thanks,

Dave - I'm not sure about the value, but are those centerfire primer strikes in the first photo?

I am pretty sure that was made in the '90's. Good ammo! No idea what it is worth. If I remember correctly the indention in the bottom of the case was put there to evenly distribute the priming compound in the rim during manufacture.

Currently selling for 34.95 per brick.
I have sold a fair amount of 900's and UM1 over the years and it has never sold that cheap. Anybody that knows what this ammo is will pay for it. Most will bring between 7.50-10.00 box and don't forget the shipping cost,it will be high.

You are right. I made a mistake and quoted the price of Target and not match. Match is twice that price at 70.00 a brick. Another company has it for 58.25. Found that one on Ammo Seek

I have paid as much as 22.00 for a box of Lapua I was trying. Stuff gets expensive. Glad I don't drink anymore. I would be brook all the time.

Cant get the same stuff - lot number wise - so it would be basically useless to a target shooter to buy such a small amount. Plinking ammo only.

This was some very good ammo in its day. It was developed by Federal with Lones Wigger acting as technical advisor. Lones would hold forth at length about the project and the fact that Federal had bitten off more then they wanted to chew. It looks like there is some oxidation of the lube. You might be surprised at the performance of this ammo when dipped in"Hoppe's" just prior to shooting.

This stuff was the Tenex of it's day, it was not cheap. Before my time but I have bought the UM1 which was too fast and didn't shoot well for me.

Well it’s a bit old...but that’s not a huge hit....

Current 922A sells for $70 per brick. This was its equivalent. It wasn’t as good as UM1 Which was equal to ELEY. This is about equal to ELEY Club.

I’d ask $70 and maybe take $60 If they take all of it.

If this ammo hoarding keeps up , it will be worth it's weight in gold.... Last time around people were getting $250 a brick...

UM1 and 900's are the same ammo off the same production line but it didn't meet their UM1 standard in their test barrel which in the rimfire world means nothing to the next barrel. If you want to try to compare grades of ammo this was top of the line ammo that would fall in the Tenex/Match. It has nothing to do with 922A and is in a different league. The dimpled case design came from a Russian design.

Thank you and everyone else for your input. I have six sealed bricks (Lot 966) I will list at $500 shipped. Thats like $8/box which sounds like a fair price judging from everyone’s input. That’s what I was after, a reasonable price.

Dave.
