Value of a used 700SA?

I know it's subjective and I have searched the threads but there is nothing recent.

Ballpark for a 700 action with 308 bolt face in reasonable condtion? No trigger but with trigger pins and bolt stop/spring.

I'm looking at purchasing a built rifle to part out and the action I don't need.

Yep totally depends. Actions by themselves are going for basically the same cost if not more than a complete rifle depending on where you look. For me personally a fair price is around the $400 mark. Anything more than that I would just buy the complete rifle and part out to recoup some cost or just bite the bullet and buy a custom action for just a few hundred more and not have to do the work to the Remington to get it up to snuff.

I’m kind of a value shopper and keep an eye out for Remingtons. Below $250 I don‘t think twice, at $300 it would sell fast locally, $350 might take a few weeks, $400 might take a few months, $500 is what Cabelas sells new 700s for as we speak.
