VA... Not the state

Veterans Affairs (VA)…. They sent me a letter yesterday about free gun locks. The VA wants to know how many guns I have and will send me up to 4 gun locks when I send the enclosed letter back with my name and address. This seems to read between the lines. No, I’m NOT sending anything back !! It seems to me that there is an alternative motive behind this. Since a lot of veterans have PTSD, then will have to release names of those who do. It’s been rumored that veterans with PTSD will not be allowed to have a concealed weapons permit. Now they haven’t come out in the open about this, it is there behind the scenes waiting to take our rights away. The government is trying to take our guns away with a veteran with a mental condition. I am really angry about this form of privacy intrusion from the VA who is supposed to take of us. Call me paranoid if you want….but crap like this will eventually come to light.

It's true the VA has been giving them away for years in person, it's been all over facebook and the Gun Rights pages....

Wondering in the article at the end where the word "life" is if that shouldn't be "rights"?

Also, ANY info stored in a computer can be hacked. A nice "go to" list for Burglars. Let alone government over reachers.

Found a copy of the letter that has been floating around the web and facebook.

I was at a Dr. apt at the VA when the Doc asked if I had any guns in the house, at the time I was wearing a Pardini Shooting Team hat, a Vortex Optics T-shirt and reading the latest copy of Handloader, I looked at the Doc and said "Guns? Heck no, those things are dangerous", he never questioned me and just marked the answer

Priceless ;D

I think they're doing a promotion for our own good of course.! They are trying to say we should hurry up and buy some so we can use those free thingys. Maybe they're trying to be like Clint Eastwood in that movie where he walked into a bar and shot several bad guys and Gene Hackman, also a bad guy, berated Clint when he pointed out that one of the guys wasn't even armed!..."you shot an unarmed man" he said. Clint said "Well he shoulda armed himself" That's whats gotta be going on.

The less the government know about your personal affairs the better
we never know who may use that information Now or in the Future.
good move to keep quiet.
