VA (and area states) informal matches?

I know of 2, the Hickory groundhog shoot and Roanoke egg shoot but what other informal bench type matches are within a 1/2 days drive from central Virginia?

Not sure on benchrest but for F-class there is Butner and Quantico.

We shoot 1000yd Benchrest at Hawks Ridge in Ferguson NC (just outside North Wilkesboro, NC). We Shoot the 3rd Saturday of the month. Also shoot the 5th Saturday in the months that have 5.

There are ground hog matches at Piedmont rifle club near Gordonsville, Va on July 29, September 2, and November 4. 100m, 200m and 300m distances. Factory, modified and custom classes starting a 9:00 am.

Plugger, do you know where I could find more information on the Piedmont matches?

As for Quantico, I think the decision was in 2010.

I shot at Quantico last weekend. They are still open!

There are still matches being held there, but not IBS sanctioned. Base club rules.

I'm not sure about IBS, but they follow NRA Highpower and Fclass rules. They run sanctioned matches for both.
