V4 with a tall Satorius?

I have the tall Entris scale. How does the v4 fit, drop, work with it?

If I had to do it over again I would sure do the FX but here I am with this tall senatorius that I really like and it works really well. But I could sure cut back the amount of time that it's taking me to drop a charge put the charge on the scale trickle the charge up or down put the charge in the case. Whole lot of time spent.

I don't know if or how the Sartorius Entris works with the V4. I went ahead and got the V4 to use with the AND fx120, and I find it much much quicker. Having to trickle with the Sartorius was just painful and I don't miss it. But if there were an option to use the V4 with the Sartorius and get greater precision (0.002g instead of 0.02g), I would certainly consider it.

I have a Sartorius Entris and a Chargemaster 1500 and the Omega 2 trickler. I have found that combination to be quite a bit faster than the Autotrickler V3. Can't speak to the V4.

I'm wondering if the fx top would set on the sartorius (glass removed) then the v4 would fit as designed.
I read the v4 is designed for short drop meaning no pause till measuring starts.

It's not just how it fits on the scale. It's the programming involved and there's no programming module that he's done for the V4 with a Sartorius. Each scale needs to be programmed separately.

If your work-flow and time are high in your trade-off, then just grab the FX-120i scale and be happy.

The V4 is nice if you do many ladders or change charges a lot since you don't have to retune the coarse throw all the time. However, an earlier model can be upgraded with a better trickle unit as well.

If your budget isn't an issue, then I would also look at this to help minimize over-throws.

It treats powder kernels the way a progressive case feeder handles cases. Just imagine a tiny slot or radius cut for each powder kernel where a case feed plate runs a slot for a case.

By controlling individual kernels, you get the trickle the way it should be in the first place. I don't know why a rotating tube is still used these days, except for the coarse dump the trickle function should be like the Ingenuity design. This speeds the work-flow up by nearly eliminating over throws.

I'm sure you could unload the Sartorius quick enough these days.

Man ! I feel like I'm talking to a celebrity Hello @F Class John ! I've been watching your YouTube channel for a couple hours now. I'm intrigued by the V4.
I assumed analytical is analytical regardless of the name brand but Im not correct on that.
I just can't see dumping my scale. There's just no resale for them. Maybe one day he'll include the sartorius.

Your welcome. Your better bet is looking up the Ingenuity Precision trickler and replace your trickler on the setup you already have.

@JMayo Don’t dump the Sartorious. If funds allow I suggest buying a complete A&D /V4 setup and keep the other as a backup. I bought a used A&D/V3 as a backup a bit back and received the V4 upgrade recently. The Sartorious V3 is now my backup. The V4 really is all that and a cupcake.

I have the Sartorious and recently upgraded from the v3 to the ingenuity precision powder meter. WOW what a difference. It is dead on 9/10 throws. It has been a huge overall improvement.

As have I. Just got it installed but haven’t thrown a full box of charges yet.

The Autotrickler seems to work best with extremely fast scales. The Sartorius is highly accurate but probably a bit slower than the FX120i. The ingenuity trickler feeds at a much more consistent rate which seems to work better with the Sartorius and Autotrickler control logic.
