V4 or AMD problem

Just open my V4 last night, set it up calibrated. something weird does not return to 0. Like it's supposed to and it will charge even though it's saying 0.3 gn plus or minus 0.7 gn plus or minus,
it's just doing something weird.
Making me want my v3 more and more.
Not sure if it is the scale or v4

Need help

Try to unplug it, then plug it back in. Then unplug the dispenser and plug it back in. Mine did that, and I did some combination of this, and it worked for me.

For me, the worst part is the scale does not seem to be returning back to 0,
I am concerned and don't trust it at this point.

Mine doesn't have an issue returning to zero, but it does drift off zero sometimes by .02, but only with the V4 plugged in which is odd to me.

Not a huge deal in my mind though, I just re-zero after I put the pan back on the platen. The only thing about mine that I'm not crazy about is sometimes the app/Bluetooth will not detect it. I have to unplug the V4 and plug it back in when that happens.

Also, mine will not throw a charge if it's off by more than .02. I'd reach out to Adam.

It doesn't seem to be an issue. I have had the same happen - and just zero the scale with the pan on. I have checked the thrown powder on anther scale and it's spot on. The .02 "thing" is the same as the tolerance for showing the "green light" for a correctly thrown load (+/- .02) so if the V4 wont fire - it's out of spec. Just re-zero the scale.

Mine did that and I noticed the the scale was too far out of level. I leveled the scale and the problem went away. I was running the scale tilted back just a half bubble and it was out farther than that out and I’m pretty sure that’s what caused the problem. I’m just running it level now…

Causing air distrubance makes these sensitive scales to fluctuate. There is a learning curve to reading them anyway.

If I reach to it it goes off. If I walk away it seems to settle down.
Lights will be changed tonight

That sounds like a static electricity problem; meaning you have a charge on you.

Are you by any chance wearing clothes with a lot of synthetic fiber? Carpeted room? Can you get a grounded bare metal appliance (something with a 3-wire plug; should not have to be turned on) near the bench to dissipate any charge before reaching for the cup?

Alternatively, shower and don't completely rinse the soap off of you (the soap film is conductive.) Wear natural fiber clothes (cotton preferred.) Or/and use a static control spray around the scale.

Those should help to ID if static charge is a problem (not suggesting them as a long term solution, though they would work, but be a PITA.)

Not trying to be a putz but darn dang and wow. If you look at the measures we have to go to to get measures. I enjoy reading about these adventures and wish you all the best of luck. Before I go out to my drafty unheated garage and throw a few 38 spl and 8x57 loads on my Lee stuff and almost flat 2x4 and sheet of plywood wood garage table. A lot of us could probably take the advice on taking a shower at any rate . . . . . Zzzzzzzzzzzzz - Flouncer

I work HV power
I could be in my birthday suit I would still have static.

Using the power cord that was sent with the V4? Did you set up your scale correctly? Never had one hint of a issue with mine it might drift to .02 occasionally but that's about it no major drifting very few overthrows guess Im lucky or something
