v max and 30br

Was able to get some 110gr Hornady V Max bullets to break in my new barrel on 30BR. I had thought it would/might provide some good trigger time and not waste match bullets. I can't seem to find any load data and or comments from anyone trying this combination. Anyone have any good ideas and or experience please chime in.

Thanks

Best accuracy with 110 Hornady V-max in my rifle was with 34.7 GR. H-4198 CCI BR-4 seated .010 OTL. 5-shot group was .407. Not that great but as you say at least trigger time.

FWIW, those VMaxes will be at least double the group size of a real BR bullet.
Keep that in mind as you look at average group sizes.
Good shootin' -Al

I used those exact bullets for fire-forming brass. 33.5 grains of H4198 worked fine. Plus they shot halfway decent. I didn’t want to use up my good bullets for such purpose. They stabilized well in the slow 1 in 17 twist of typical 30BR barrels.
