Adam Bentley has a 8-twist 22 Dasher and is shooting these bullet at 4000fps without any problems.

For me they have been slightly more accurate than the 40s, 55s or 60s. 23.5 grains exterminator, CCI 400 or WSR primers.

That bullet has legs....very good B.C. and will do well all the way out to 750 yds. Four inch clays at 500 yds are no challenge. I shoot it over IMR3031 and CCI400 in Winchester brass, neck sized only. 3250 fps seems to a happy number out my my Savage 12FV with a 26 in, 9 twist varmint barrel.
My CBI 26 in 8 twist barrel seems to prefer 8208XBR but does just as well.

Fantastic bullet, this one. It shoots very well out of my 1:8 and 1:9 barrels and the terminal performance is impressive. I'll bet you can find a load that works for you in short order. I have not found that bullet to be picky in the least.

My 1:8 twist .223 loves it. I actually got it to stabilize in my 22-250 1:14 in CO at 6000 feet. Same load keyholes in MN. Sure makes the prairie dog parts dance!

They're the go-to bullet for my Savage. Like JLT, I've run them in both an 8 and 9 twist. The 9 twist liked them best of the two at 3400 in front of CFE223. They'll make a mell of a hess out of a coyote in a hurry :)

Never shot this one yet, but I am shooting the 52gn ELD in a 1:9 with extremely nice results. I'll have to re-look this one.

53gr Vmax out of a 20" AR15 8 Twist is what i use for coyotes. CFE223 and LC brass with CCI450 primers. Shoots really good out to 500 yards.
55gr Nosler BT shoots just a tad better but also cost pretty good bit more.

I have ran them out of a AR and they work fine. I can not see why a bolt would be any different unless your rifle just does not like them.

they shoot good out of my ruger american, 24" 223 wylde ar and my 22 nosler, will soon test them on a 22-250. fwiw I gain 50 fps with the nosler 53gn varmeggedon and have tighter groups at less than 300 yards

Shooting this bullet in a .22 Dasher 8” xp100 handgun . That Adam Bentley built for me , is wicked on chucks .

Thanks for all the inputs - looking at T3X in 223 with an 8" twist. I have a bunch of 223's but all have 12" twist. This 53 V Max has a BC of .290 which is really high (good) for this weight of bullet.

I have made some of my longest shots on prairie dogs for that bullet weight with my .223 and 22-250.
As said they are very destructive on varmints. :D I was shooting a 50 grain v-max in my 223 with good
accuracy but the 53 grain v-max proved to be even more accurate with a bit more speed than the 50 grainer
with the same powder charge in my rifle.:)

I'm running a 9" twist and I seem to have a couple of packs of those 53gr kicking around that I just haven't gotten around to trying yet. Sounds like I'm going to have to bump them up on my list and give them a whirl.
