V. HD II vs. PMII

Sixgun

The Millbastard
Hi Everybody...

I'm getting my GAP Crusader back re-barreled in 6.5x47l. I'm going to change the scope to either a Vortex HDII 4.5-27 or a S&B PMII 5.5-25. The game has changed a bit. I see S&B's at just under $2700 now (non-MTC version). So Vortex at 2500ish and S&Bs 2700. The Vortex is 3lbs and really meant for an AR platform. Vortex even indicates that on their website. What do you think of these two? Fit, finish, features, value?

I like vortex own several.... Also have had several and still have SB PMII. In my mind and from 10 yrs of using them they just dont compare. But nothing wrong ng with a razor ii. or amg.

That what I was kinda thinking. I don't mean to be digging up old dirt but seeing how PMii's are a decent price now it's hard to pass up.

Consider the type of shooting you'll be doing because having a lifetime no questions asked warranty can pay for itself.

If it's a scope you take to the range and back home, then the Schmidt & Bender has much better glass then the vortex.
If you're a left hand shooter, you might not like the S&B because the illumination knob will probably interfere with the bolt throw.

If you wanna shot tactical/practical matches on a regular basis, you might want the better warranty of the Vortex Razor HD-II.

But overall, the S&B although quite dated, it's still the better scope. but not my much.
