Using solvent and a brass brush to remove...brass

I believe the concept is it has to be stiff enough to remove copper but soft enough to not hurt the barrel. I use worn out ones wrapped in steel wool to clean out my brass necks. My buddy thought he found a better way. He gave me this stainless steel 30 cal brush. I put it in the drill and cleaned a case neck. Then I got a light and looked in there, it looked like little threads in my neck. I called him and told him. He was going to use it in his barrel. I would never use it in a barrel, I believe they are made of Bronze for a reason.

If your bore cleaner is working you shouldn't need much brushing. The chemical and soaking should take care of most all of it. Matt
