Used Mark 7

I was in a local gun shop today in Maine. They had a used Mark 7 reloading press with bullet feeder and casing feeder. It was used but looked to be complete and in good condition. $1,900. I have no experience with these so I don’t know if that was a fair deal or not.

I honestly have no idea if that is a good price, but I checked Brownells and Midway and new they are priced around $2900.

One of the presses I have is a Dillion 650. I could sell this with all of the extras I have and buy the Mark 7. Is the Mark 7 a better press?

This is $1,000.00 off of the retail price. I suggest that this may be either missing something or is not completely up to snuff when compared to new. The other possibility is that the market has determined that this product is not worth the original price, so a deeper discount comes into play.

Since you aren't the expert on this press/reloading set up, I would take the time to find an expert who owns one of these and ask if they would lend their expertise to your search. This can save you lots of money in the run if you aren't well informed. Don't get in a hurry to overpay.

You could also hold off for the new Frankfort arsenal 10x press at 1200$ and be sure parts aren't missing

I did see a bullet feeder and case feeder on the Mark 7. The chances of me finding someone in Maine that owns and uses one would be slim. There are some You tube videos out there but we know how some of those can be.

I watched several You Tube videos yesterday on the Mark 7. Am I understanding correctly that a .308 case is the largest that can be loaded on the Mark 7?
