are they all for model 70
No, only one was on the M-70, one was on a Rem, the fluted one no idea, shank is a odd size

Honestly I would cut the old shank off and rechamber to you action, in the past if the freebore wasn’t toast, I get a 1/2” cut off the back and rechamber, so you get a new neck and freebore, in most cases with me anyway it was enough to clean up the body too

The 6.5 IMP barrel was going to be a 6.5x284

Fluted barrel would get the threaded part cut off and start a new chamber, maybe 6.5x284 too

My M-70 action is .010” over so I can’t really use it, but there enough in the back if I had too

"Bottom is a 308, 26”, take off a match Win M-70, told it has 400 rounds fired, he changed over to 260, $225.00 shipped". Question, how do you change a 308 to a 260??? Or am I missing something here???

You change the barrel, hence I am selling the old barrel he took off, I bought a mint match rifle off gunbroker, the smith who shipped it told me what he did, and still had the 308 barrel he took off, so I bought it, he tried someone’s 260 and he liked it

The smith told me he only chambered Kreiger barrels for him, guy was a big 6.5 fan smith also shot this round, but when the 6.5x47 came out they switched over, looks good inside, to me it’s worth chambering, don’t know the round count, but I can check the twist, but I am certain it’s a 1-8”

Definitely 1-8”, 1.215” breech, .755” muzzle

I was going to make it a 6.5x47 or 6.5x284 depending what the smith told me about bore

Just curious. The 6.5x284.....Can this caliber be reamed to a 6.5 PRC and also.....Can this be fit to a Ruger M77 Hawkeye action?

Hello,
You mentioned that the fluted 6.5 barrel has an odd shank size, what diameter is it?
Sorry if I missed in the post but what is the twist and have you looked at full length of bore?
