US Optics SN-2 3.8-22 value

Does anybody have any ideas for a value of a US Optics SN-2 3.8-22 scope. From what I can find out, it is 10-15 years old with a 58 mm objective. I know condition plays a factor, but I am looking for best case. I found one at a local pawn shop. I know they have it marked too high. I'm trying to figure out by how much though. Maybe a better question is it something worth considering?

Any US Optics scope is worth at least MSRP for base price in its class. As long as there is no functional or optical damage, these scopes will last forever. The street name for this scopes is “The Club”. Literally you could pull one of these scopes off in battle and use it as a weapon in hand to hand combat. Then at a later date remount it and use it. Even if the tube gets bent it will function properly if no damage becomes the rector.

Having said that, a pawn shop will sell anything in its inventory as if it were new. Unless you are a great negotiator, don't hold you breath that the cost will come down. Also US Optics is moving into the general use market. They now have 10 models under $1500.00.

IMO, I would pick a US Optics scope over a Bausch & Lomb, Night Force or Zeiss scope. My wife's SN 3 5-25 x 58 is as clear and functional as a NF NSX 12-42.
