UPS and the weather

Has anyone other than me experienced a very large problem with UPS since the weather came? I am awaiting a priority shipped package shipped from Arizona in 2/3 and it is still not here!

Calling the 800 number is a total waste as they neither speak good English or offer any help. The local UPS facility offers no real help and is giving no assistance.

It seems that the winter weather has totally overwhelmed them!

The Internet tracking site locations differ from the UPS tracking computers.

Now I feel better

Re: UPS and he weather

UPS did experience some problems when the blizzard hit the Chicago area, it shut down one of their major hubs for a while. But things are rolling along smoothly now. Are you sure the item was shipped UPS, and not USPS? I only ask because of your wording... "Priority" is a USPS service, not UPS. USPS tracking is worthless... UPS tracking is generally accurate.

Re: UPS and he weather

I've noticed things getting a little bit better since the "Big Blizzard". Everything coming from the West destined for Michigan goes thru Hodgkins Illinois. Some packages have been there at the same time, yet one continues on and another waits several days. I hope they are sending their trucks out full.

Here in Little Rock they had 11 trailers full of packages and told those of us at the facility they did not know when they would get the packages out of them as they did not have the people to do so.

Frustrated!

Also, if you were of their race they were giving local phone numbers to check on packages - if not they only offered the 800 #.

If it was an Air shipment, there is a guarantee on delivery OR the shipping cost is refunded. From experience I can tell you that any late air package they try to tell you that Chicago was fogged in etc when it didn't make the correct transfer. Stick to your guns & get a refund. Make sure that you have the correct tracking #. Your SHIPPER will have to request the refund & then return it to you.

Travelor,
I have trouble with ups year around and especially in the winter months. Here they have some kind of a deal with the USPS so they drop some of your packages off @ the post office, that ticks me off because I paid to have it delivered but I understand times are hard so I could wait for the mail, Mon, Wed, and Fri here but I will look out the window ( I live in the sticks) and will see the ups driver go by ??? Between 6br classifieds, Sinclair, and Midway I have stuff coming every day so I call up to the post office and sure enough there is a package or two >:( its tue. and now I have to wait another day or drive 26 miles to the post office so I can get my new 6brx reamer Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!
