We are having some problems with attachments showing up where avatars (personal profile) images should be. It may take a while to resolve that--it appears to be a program problem and we have to create a work-around.

But we were able to bring over all the 3500 attachments from the previous forum and that I wasn't sure we could do.

I think most readers will find that the new forum is faster.

Hey everyone. My name is Damon. Paul gave me the "go ahead" to comment. I have been helping with the migration of the forums. I guess Paul thinks I'm Ballistically Challenged from the name he gave me, lol.

Paul made a great decision on the migration and now has a great backend and a lot more flexibility with the forums. Not to mention the forums are faster and a lot more efficient. This has been a migration that has been months and months in planning. Kudos to Paul for such a big overhaul.

I will chime in here and there to help out with questions about the new forums as the last little bit is polished off.

If you have an attachment showing up as an avatar for you, or a large image in your profile or up top by your name we are looking into the issue. We know what the problem is. We're just looking into resolving it. Until then there is an easy Do-It-Yourself fix. Just go into your profile and click on "Forum Profile" or "Modify Profile" and then "Forum Profile". Just paste a url to an avatar you want in the "I have my own pic" box or select the "Personalized Picture" if you do not want an avatar at all. Once you hit save it will fix the problem for you.

Very nice job with the upgrade guys. It is way faster on my end than it was.
I also like the fact that there is now timestamps on posts and pm's, which can help out in the classifieds when you get multiple "I'll take it" responses(especially if an item is list on other forums as well).

I also like the trader count and feedback features. Keeps people a bit more honest .

I think the new site is great, a big improvement.
My only comment is on thread start and reply, using 'Today' and 'Yesterday' is fine but after that it should be identified with a physical date i.e. 10-26-2009 vs. Friday, Monday, etc.
Some threads have several Mondays or Saturdays and there is no way to tell how old a reply is or when the thread was started.

How about making it work right on a blackberry. This is all I have now and the old site at least let me see pictures. This only let's me see what is typed. No times days or anything else.

all my PM's are from ogre6br to ogre6br (me to me) and back again if more than 1 reply was made

I use this forum format for a few forums im a member off so I am at least 50/50 confident i pushed all the right buttons to send the message but ............ ??? ???
