Upgraded thumbler tumbler

Changed out the nylon bushings for some ball bearings.

Used 10-32 button head screws and nylon lock nuts to secure them.



I changed to a clogged belt and pulleys as well.

Some drilling and modification to the steel support is needed to allow adjustment when changing over to the belt and pulleys.

I have a Thumbler Tumbler new in the box that will get this upgrade. Excellent work Sir! My old Thumbler (purchased used) fell off the bench and still works but runs like "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang", I love the Thumbler!

To tell ya the truth I don’t remember. I did the pulley mod more than 2 years ago. I purchased the belt set off of Amazon and used one. I did drill out the welds on the motor support and bolted the motor down thru some slotted holes to allow some adjustment for the belt tension. It’s not elegant but it works and only needs to be adjusted once. Have run it for hundreds if not a thousand hours without any slippage or broken belt.
