Upgraded members it is really simple to mark "SOLD"

Guys, not trying to be a wise guy here but when you are looking for something is would be so much better if you went in and changed your thread to "SOLD" and not just mark some where spf, okay rant over. I know this has affected almost every one of us, you get into a thread and read it only to see spf while it is still marked "SELLING" I'm not sure if the pics uploaded in the correct order or not but you can figure it out.

I agree but I wouldn't be too quick to say they can figure it out...if they had the ability to figure it out, you wouldn't have needed to post this thread.

Not only with the selling ads...it should also apply to updating the WTB ads too....You answer a WTB ad thinking you're going to help a member out only for them to say they already found it.....just saying....

The colored tabs are available to upgraded members only.

3. After a certain number of weeks there is a lock on non-member advert editing. We are looking for a better solution. We had to do this because cheapskates were re-titling their ads to get around the limits (i.e. to save $2.08 per month for a Silver Membership).

There was a time that taking down an ad once your item sold was encouraged. Last time I checked that had changed. Was told the servers had been upgraded to the point where the ad should be left up and just marked according when sold/traded, etc.
Why else would this thread showing us how to change the status of ads be here if th ad was going to be deleted when the transaction was completed to all parties' satisfaction?

Forum Boss: Silver and Gold members can take down their ads for a period of time. Non-upgraded members have limited abilities to remove ads, again, because cheapskates were attempting to "re-cycle" old ads to get around the 3-free-ads per 12 mo. limit.

Unfortunately we don't have a way to "mask" old ads but keep them in the database. We are working on having that functionality, but it isn't there yet.

I'm sorry, meant no harm by posting this. It just gets frustrating sometimes if you are looking to buy an item and you see 10 that are "available" only to read 3 pages and see in a post "SPF". Thanks,

Stuff I sell the prices are below bargain basement or free so comparing the price would do no good.

Well..... As long as we’re venting -
I think it would be nice if everyone had their state in their ad. I can think of a bunch of times I look at guns or other items for sale and would probably buy them if we could have done a face to face to avoid shipping. JMHO

My original post has nothing to do with price or place, just when I'm looking for something I don't want to read 6 "selling" adds to get to the end and find they are already sold, takes 20 seconds at most to mark it as "SOLD" you know, just as a courtesy thing.
