Flawless, mint condition 12X
Up for grabs is my personal best J. Unertl. Shooting habits have changed and I’m realigning assets.
This scope could pass as NOS (new old stock) absolutely flawless in every way! You will not be able to upgrade.
Glass: hands down the best glass I have ever seen on a J,U. Edge to edge clarity is 10/10. Zero delamination, zero water spots, flawless…
Crosshairs: fine, no dot. Crisp and straight. 10/10
AO: perfect in every way, calibrated, perfect lettering and smooth.
AEP: smooth and flawless.
Bluing: bright and deep, if you see any imperfections in the pictures it’s likely smudging from the museum wax.
Mounts: cups are sharp and still have a perfect taper, dovetails are mint and show almost no use, clicks are snappy and repeatable.
Return spring: mint condition and appears to have never been moved.
All screw heads are unmolested, knurling is in perfect condition; sharp and crisp.
I would consider this to be a museum quality scope. And a cherry on the top of a vintage rifle.
It’s unlikely another scope in this condition will appear on the market any time soon.
The price shipped is $1500,
Fine print: Scope will be shipped in a heavy wall cardboard tube, professionally packaged with a light coat of Renaissance wax. The carrier will be your choice, USPS, FedEx or UPS, to the lower 48. (AK and HI ask for quote)
Additional insurance is the buyer’s responsibility.
Local pickup available between Waco and Austin.
Thanks for looking, follow up questions or request for additional pictures. Send me a DM.
