Unburned Powder in Barrel

I just put together a 6.5x47 and took it to the range today.

I loaded up some lighter loads of Varget (36 grains) and 123 Amax just to put some shots through it. I shot a few out of a brand new barrel and then cleaned it up.

I noticed some unburned powder when I ran a patch through it...It was almost like the "hulls" of the powder.

I was using CCI BR4 primers. I know alot of guys are running magnums, but I don't have any on hand.

I was reading on some previous threads that an increase of powder might clean it up..

Give me some advice please

Varget would be a very slow burnning powder for the 6.5-47. If it is shooting accuratly I would not worry about it. I am loading 410 slugs with a surplus 50 bmg powder and I think I`m only burnning about 1/2 of the powder, but my 11 yr. old granduather shot a group of 1 3/4 in. at 100 yrds. with that load from a card table. I have been loading my own since 1965 and don`t worry about un burned powder if the load shoot good.
