I've looked through the ultrasonic cleaning threads and most seem to suggest using vinegar. I haven't seen anyone comment on citric acid.
An experienced palma shooter in my club uses a couple of teaspoons of citric acid powder, from baking aisle at supermarket) in a bucket of warm water. He puts a lid on the bucket and spins it on some rollers for a while and gets clean cases out. He doesn't use a neutralisation step and has no discolouration of the brass.
Since I have a ultrasonic cleaner on the way and citric acid will be cheaper per litre than vinegar I would like to know if anyone has tried citric acid in an ultrasonic cleaner?
If I use vinegar can it be re-used multiple times or does it need to be replaced with each run?
