I have a ultra sonic cleaner that I got from harbor freight, which it looks like a lot of models are of the same manufacturer, the question is what is the recipe for the cleaning solution for brass cases? I have the birch wood Casey brass cleaner and I don't seem to get mine all that clean! is their something else to add besides water and the birchwood Casey solution and do I leave the plastic screen in? and length of time? and the amount of cases that I can do at a time?
Thank You for any information that you have

It's all you need to know.

I have that unit... under a different name. It's gutless and pretty much not worth the hastle.... maybe worth it for low volume precision... 30-40 rounds at a time.

If you want to do a quality job get an L&R ultrasonic unit, it's a true heavy duty product and not made in China, they come in many sizes to fit your needs. I have had mine for over 20 years without any issues and have used it for rifle brass, complete bolts, triggers, pistols, carburetors and of course the wifes jewelry........

For .223 Rem through 50 BMG I use water, a touch of Dawn and Lim-e-shine.....weather it's a hand full or 500 they come out clean.

I bought one of the sonic cleaners from Harbor Fright also and played with several different solutions. I agree with markm87, it aint worth the trouble. Go buy a tumbler and clean all the brass you want.
